We are currently seeking a highly skilled Business Finance Lead to join our client's team in Crewe, Cheshire. As a seasoned Interim Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for managing a team of staff and providing financial expertise to support the development of business strategy.

About the Job

The successful candidate will have a strong background in local government finance, with experience of managing budgets and leading cross-functional teams. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of staff to achieve financial objectives and improve performance.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth and improve efficiency.
  • Provide expert advice on financial matters, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Analyse complex financial data to inform business decisions and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement financial policies and procedures.

Salary: £20.98 per hour (PAYE)

Requirements:
  1. CIPFA qualification or equivalent experience.
  2. Minimum 12 months recent experience in a similar role, preferably within a public sector organisation.
  3. Experience of local government finance or equivalent.
  4. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft packages or equivalent.
