Job Title: Charity Treasurer

Elleray Hall, a service provider for adults with a focus on the elderly, is seeking a skilled Treasurer to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the implementation and maintenance of effective financial systems and controls.
  • Liaise with designated staff on financial matters and keep the Management Committee informed.
  • Record and manage assets and liabilities.
  • Liaise with the bank and be a signatory on CAF and Barclays bank accounts.
  • Prepare Management Accounts, budgets, forecasts, and cash flows as required.
  • Advise on the Charity's reserves and update the existing policy.
  • Ensure bookkeeping software is up to date and reconciled.
  • Review and agree accounts with Trustees/Directors before submission to Auditors and presentation at the Annual General Meeting.
  • Present accounts at the AGM and ensure compliance with legislation.
  • Exercise authority to alter procedures in emergency situations.
Requirements:
  • Accountancy background preferred, but not essential.
  • Experience with Charity and Company Law.
  • Well-developed analysis skills.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a willingness to be available for advice and enquiries on an ad hoc basis.
