Senior Category Technologist

Fortnum & Mason is seeking a highly skilled Senior Category Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our category management team, you will be responsible for leading the technical aspects of new product development, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving supplier quality management.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the technical development of new products, ensuring they meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Manage supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with quality and CSR requirements.
- Develop and implement supplier quality management systems, ensuring traceability and risk management.
- Conduct supplier site visits and audits to ensure compliance with operational procedures.
- Coordinate and provide quantifiable metrics to assess supplier performance against technical and CSR targets.
- Scientific degree or equivalent.
- At least 3 years' experience in a technical area in either retailing or manufacturing.
- Experience in influencing cross-functional teams to deliver new processes.
- Gated development process experience is a key requirement.
- Supplier auditing experience, specification creation, and sign-off experience is required.
