About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our outpatient reception team at East Cheshire NHS Trust. As an Outpatient Receptionist, you will provide a comprehensive and professional reception service to support patients attending outpatient appointments at our Health Hub in Macclesfield.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide a full range of reception duties to support patients, including meet and greet and clinic management on the patient administration system.
  • Be proficient in the use of patient administration systems for booking and tracking outpatient appointments and patient records.
  • Work in conjunction with clinical and managerial teams to ensure follow-up appointments are booked as instructed or added to a waiting list.
  • Undertake clerical duties to ensure a comprehensive and efficient administrative support service.

Requirements

  • Previous administrative experience, preferably in a hospital environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work within a team environment.
  • Flexibility, with the ability to work to deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in patient administration systems.
