Job Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Technical Global Solutions as the Head of Operational Excellence, responsible for overseeing the operational strategy and delivery for strategic accounts in the finance sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in white space fit-out or similar complex environments, with experience in managing large-scale construction or fit-out projects from inception to completion.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operational Excellence: Develop and implement operational strategies to drive excellence in the delivery of services to strategic finance accounts.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders, ensuring satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Resource Utilization: Manage budgets, resource allocation, and supply chains to meet financial and margin objectives.
  • Team Performance: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team, setting clear KPIs and supporting professional growth.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and streamline workflows.
  • Quality Management: Develop quality management systems and ensure adherence to all relevant standards and safety protocols.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other operational and sales teams to align strategies, share resources, and drive consistent delivery.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to optimize costs and service quality.

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 10 years of experience in a senior operations or project management role within the data centre or construction industry.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead large multi-disciplinary teams, manage complex projects, and ensure successful delivery in a fast-paced and highly technical environment.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of data centre infrastructure, including electrical and mechanical systems, cabling, fire suppression, and cooling solutions.
  • Project Management: Proven track record of managing large-scale construction or fit-out projects from inception to completion.
  • Client-Focused: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Problem Solver: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to overcoming project challenges.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong financial management skills, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and contract negotiation.
  • Health & Safety Knowledge: In-depth understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction and data centre sectors.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing project demands, work under pressure, and deliver results within tight timeframes.
