About the Role
Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Accounts Senior to join their team and support the firm's growth. The ideal candidate will have previous experience handling accounts for a wide range of clients in a practice environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accounts for a range of clients, including sole traders, limited companies, and larger corporations.
- Act as a client manager and be responsible for your own portfolio of clients.
- Prepare VAT returns and use accounts software, including Xero and QuickBooks.
- Work alongside the rest of the accounts team and be involved with training and managing junior staff.
- Effectively manage your own time and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Requirements
- Previous experience handling accounts for a wide range of clients in a practice environment.
- Strong IT and technical skills, with experience in accounts software such as Xero and QuickBooks.
- Ability to manage client relationships and support them on a wide range of accountancy queries.
- AAT/ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience (QBE).
- Strong time management skills and the ability to manage your own workload effectively.
What We Offer
- A competitive salary between £30,000 and £38,000, dependent on experience.
- Hybrid working options and a 1pm finish on a Friday with a 37 ½ hour working week.
