A challenging opportunity has arisen for a Child Development Specialist to join our team at a primary school in Oxford, Oxfordshire. As a Graduate Psychologist Student, you will work closely with staff to create a supportive and stimulating learning environment for children aged 5-11.

This role involves supporting children with their initial growth and development, working one-to-one or in small groups outside the classroom setting, and providing emotional support to those who need it. You will also assist pupils with additional needs, including those with ASD, Autism, and challenging behavior.

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong interest in young children's development and mechanisms to support any concerns. A degree graded 2:2 or above is ideal, and previous experience working with children, whether in childcare, tutoring, nursery, sports settings, charity, or similar classroom settings, is desirable.

The ideal candidate will have the confidence to conduct 1:1 learning and/or small group sessions outside the classroom setting. They will also be comfortable supporting SEN children in the mainstream classroom, addressing needs such as ASD, Autism, and challenging behavior.

Key Responsibilities:
