Our Expert Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist Leader is a key figure in delivering and developing innovative Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in Oxfordshire. The role involves providing high-quality care to service users, working closely with the team manager to ensure their needs are met. As a centre of excellence, this position offers a person-centred approach, focusing on independence and well-being. Clinical leadership opportunities are available, enabling the development of services across the region and medical education/supervision. The post holder will be part of a Trust-wide consultant network, facilitating collaboration with colleagues and the development of peer networks. The Trust has a strong partnership with the University of Oxford psychiatric department, committed to high-quality teaching and training. The Consultant provides direct clinical supervision and line management, enhancing skills in these areas. This role includes senior medical input and clinical leadership to the LD team. The post holder assesses referrals, provides consultation, and offers ongoing management for patients requiring longer-term care. High-quality specialist clinical assessments are provided, including relevant psychiatric and physical investigations. Collaboration with other team members is essential to plan and deliver individually tailored treatment plans.
