In this role, you will work closely with the class teacher and other professionals to support children with their learning, including providing one-to-one support, small group work and assisting with classroom management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to children with SEND in a primary school setting
  • Work closely with the class teacher and other professionals to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Assist with classroom management and organization
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents and colleagues

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant
  • Strong knowledge of SEND and inclusive education
  • Ability to work effectively with children who have additional needs
  • Patient and empathetic approach
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must have good spoken English
  • Minimum of 6 months Primary experience
  • Able to provide 2 or more references covering the last 3 years
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
