About the Role

Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust is seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to fill the role of Associate Director of Quality Improvement. This key leadership position is crucial in driving the delivery of our five-year strategy and embedding a culture of quality and improvement throughout the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to the Quality & Professional Standards Directorate, working closely with the Executive Director of Quality/Chief Paramedic to develop and implement Trust-wide quality improvement plans.
  • Support the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives across the organisation, ensuring alignment with the Trust's values and vision.
  • Collaborate with NHS England and system partners to support quality improvement initiatives across Integrated Care Boards (ICBs).
  • Model transparent decision-making and public accountability, supporting matrix working across Trust portfolios.

Requirements

  • Hold a PhD or master's degree in a relevant subject, with equivalent industry experience.
  • Demonstrate expert subject matter knowledge in quality improvement, with detailed insight into international approaches and evidence.
  • Significant experience of leading quality improvement in a healthcare or other environment, with substantial and proven senior leadership experience in a complex environment.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the field.
