Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Dietitian to join our multidisciplinary team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. This is a new post that will play a key role in developing a service to support children with Long Covid, other post-viral and fatiguing conditions, chronic pain, and similar conditions.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will work as part of a team to provide a high standard of assessment and management for children with complex needs. They will have close working relationships with the Paediatric Dietetic team based in Morriston Hospital and will be required to travel to other sites to deliver clinics and home visits as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist dietetic advice and support to children with complex needs
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Supervise and mentor junior members of staff, including student dietitians and support workers
  • Contribute to the development of evidence-based practice, research, and clinical audit
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

BSc Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalentHCPC RegisteredPost-registration training in relevant areaExperience of working as a Specialist Dietitian in Nutrition and Dietetics within a specialist areaExperience of supervising/mentoring staffExperience of audit and quality improvement methodologyWhat We Offer
