Occupational Therapy Assistant

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapy Technician to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. As an Occupational Therapy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our occupational therapists in delivering high-quality care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist occupational therapists in implementing intervention programs for patients with physical, emotional, or cognitive disabilities.
- Conduct home visits to deliver and fit equipment to facilitate patient discharge.
- Perform administrative duties as required by the department.
- Work effectively as part of a team to achieve patient-centered care.
Requirements
- Quality Credit Framework qualification at level 3 (e.g., NVQ or OCN related to Health & Social Care) or willingness to work towards.
- Documented evidence of participation in training activities.
- Understanding of the role of occupational therapy.
- Relevant experience working within health, social, or teaching settings.
- Awareness of Occupational Therapy equipment, toilet equipment, and manual handling equipment.
