Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Dietitian to join our multidisciplinary team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. This is a new post that will play a key role in developing a service to support children with Long Covid, other post-viral and fatiguing conditions, chronic pain, and similar conditions.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, including dietetics, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, psychology, and paediatrics. They will be responsible for autonomously managing their caseload, providing high-quality assessment and management, and supporting the supervision and mentoring of junior staff members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a service to support children with Long Covid and other conditions
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members
  • Contribute to the development of evidence-based practice, research, and clinical audit
Requirements
  • BSc Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent
  • HCPC Registered
  • Post-registration training in relevant area
  • Experience of working as a Specialist Dietitian in Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Experience of supervising and mentoring staff
Desirable Criteria
  • Student Clinical Educators Course
  • Recognised management/leadership qualification
