ESG Professional, Mid-Market Private Equity Investigator, London Office

We are partnering with a leading tech focused mid-market private equity firm to add an ESG professional to their London office. This position offers a broad and varied opportunity to join a rapidly growing firm and gain exposure to ESG and sustainability work across the firm and its portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of the firm's ESG approach and ESG performance reviews
- Assist with ESG reviews of existing portfolio companies and define key data and performance measurement
- Closely engage with deal teams and portfolio companies to ensure ESG implementation and value creation
- Support the team on external ESG and sustainability related reporting
About You
- Have a holistic understanding of ESG and sustainability
- Be able to maintain oversight over multiple working streams and prioritise accordingly
- Be eager to learn technical skills in a quickly evolving sector
- Have confidence in voicing opinion, finding solutions and contributing to a team
- Have excellent analytical skills and the ability to work with data to communicate trends and messages
- Have technical knowledge of ESG issues
- Have knowledge of policy and regulatory developments, disclosure requirements and best practice
- Have strong communication and relationship building skills
- Be passionate and motivated about sustainability topics
- Have experience in sustainability/ESG gained through either consultancy or an in-house position within the private markets or asset management
- Be able to use data to highlight trends and communicate data clearly and concisely
