Packing Operative Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Packing Operative. As a key member of our Despatch team, you will be responsible for ensuring that orders are accurately packed and prepared for dispatch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Packing Orders: You will be responsible for packing orders in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that all items are correctly labeled and packaged.
  • Quality Control: You will be responsible for checking items for any defects or damage and highlighting any issues that need to be addressed.
  • Packing Materials: You will be responsible for selecting the correct packing materials for each order, ensuring that they are suitable for the items being packed.
  • Documentation: You will be responsible for completing packing notes and ensuring that all necessary documents are included with each order.
  • Team Collaboration: You will work closely with other teams, including the Dispatch team, to ensure that orders are prepared and dispatched on time.
  • Supply Chain Management: You will be responsible for helping to maintain and organize packing material supplies, ensuring that they are readily available when needed.
  • Process Improvement: You will work with the Production and Quality Managers to identify areas for improvement in our packing and dispatch processes.
