Community Development Officer

As a Community Development Officer, you will play a vital role in championing equity, diversity, and inclusion in the countryside. This exciting opportunity involves working on the Putting Downs Routes Project, which aims to make the countryside more inclusive and welcoming to all people.
We are looking for someone with excellent community engagement skills, a passion for accessibility, and experience working in the outdoors or countryside sectors. If you can demonstrate how you have built partnerships with local communities, developed inclusive programs, and reported and evidenced your work for project funding purposes, then we want to hear from you.
The successful candidate will be required to work closely with project partners, including Black Girls Hike and Wild with Wheels, to develop new audiences and deliver enhancements on and around the trail. They must be able to demonstrate their ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
We offer a competitive salary of $55,000 - $70,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including flexible working arrangements, a supportive team environment, and opportunities for professional development.
