Advocacy Program Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Supervising Advocate to lead our advocacy services within the Families First for Children Pathfinder Programme. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals and their families.
About the Role:
In this leadership position, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality advocacy services, mentoring and coaching team members, and supporting clients in self-advocacy efforts. You will also oversee the Families First for Children Pathfinder Programme advocacy project and supervise the delivery of parental advocacy services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of advocacy strategies to support vulnerable adults and their families.
- Mentor and coach team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent advocacy services.
- Support clients in navigating statutory meetings and representing them when needed.
- Stay up-to-date with legislative changes related to child and adult welfare and advocate for policy updates as required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in advocacy services, ideally with vulnerable adults and their families.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in coaching and mentoring teams.
- Familiarity with local authority processes and advocacy for client rights.
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
