We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our Assertive Outreach Team in Birmingham and Solihull.

The successful candidate will work with adults who have complex, severe, and enduring mental health needs in the community, supporting individuals who have historically avoided contact with mental health services using a flexible and creative approach to engagement.

This position is ideal for a nurse with experience working in community settings, managing caseloads, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for key worker duties, including assessment, intervention, and planning within a client-centered recovery approach.

The ability to travel across the Birmingham & Solihull area is required for this role.

Main Responsibilities
  • Act as Key worker to a prescribed caseload, effectively managing workload utilizing Dialog plus care planning tool in recovery-focused interventions.
  • Work collaboratively as part of the Team, demonstrating the ability to handle challenging and complex issues while joint working with other professionals to support service users and families.
  • Demonstrate a range of skills including effective communication, empathy, self-awareness, clinical skills, understanding of the Mental Health Act, compassion, and critical self-reflection.
  • Attend daily handovers, maintain high levels of communication within the team, and contribute to risk management processes.

Estimated salary: £37,338 - £44,962 per annum (pro rata).
