Job Title: Sample Registration Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sample Registration Assistant to join our team at SGS. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for registering samples received from customers into our laboratory system in a timely and accurate manner.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To register samples received from customers into the relevant laboratory system in an accurate and timely manner.
  • To effectively liaise with customer service on a daily basis in relation to sample queries and deviating samples.
  • To create customer references in the relevant laboratory system and ensure all customer equipment data is correct and up to date.
  • To print customer asset labels for registration/mobile app.
  • To ensure accurate entry and receipt of incoming samples onto Labware, adhering to the correct analysis and printing labels as required.
  • To distribute sample information to the appropriate departments as and when required, informing the German team of samples received for processing.
  • To respond to customer requests and process all samples in accordance with these requests, ensuring support is provided to the customer where needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience in working within a high-volume submission/fast-paced environment and working to a tight deadline.
  • Previous Data Entry/Admin experience.
  • GCSE in Science, Mathematics, and English grades A to C or equivalent.
  • Good to have experience of working within the Petroleum Industry but not essential.
  • Good to have experience of working in a laboratory environment but not essential.
