About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Health Visitor to join our team as a Bank Staff member. As a Health Visitor, you will play a vital role in delivering child health programmes and working in partnership with families to promote optimum health and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver child health programmes and work with families to promote optimum health and development.
  • Monitor the health of children under five years of age and involve families in promoting healthy lifestyles.
  • Be aware of deviations from the normal in health and behaviour and intervene to protect vulnerable children and adults.
  • Liaise with other agencies, statutory and voluntary, and maintain good working relationships.
  • Act as a health resource to other agencies and be responsive to local health needs.
  • Manage a team-based caseload and supply reports, statistical returns, and information as required.
  • Implement Child Health Promotion programmes in accordance with the Health Visiting Core Programme.
Requirements
  • Be a specialist community public health nurse with knowledge of safeguarding and other legislation relating to children's health services.
  • Have 5+ years' experience as a Health Visitor or be willing to develop your safeguarding experience.
  • Be able to work in partnership with families and other agencies to promote healthy lifestyles.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
