Procurement Specialist

ProductLife Group is a global industry leader in regulatory outsourcing and consulting services for the life sciences industry. We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing products and services to maximize added value and fulfill business requirements in accordance with company and procurement strategy. Key responsibilities include finding and assigning the best fit resources for PLG services delivered at worldwide markets and internal projects in a sustainable way.

About the Role

The Procurement Specialist will manage organizational spend by maximizing vendor value while minimizing risk. This will involve actively identifying business needs and wants, formalizing requirements in cooperation with stakeholders, and selecting/sourcing vendors through the RFI – RFP – RFQ process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify business needs and wants, and formalize requirements in cooperation with stakeholders
  • Select/sourcing vendors through the RFI – RFP – RFQ process
  • Negotiate with suppliers/contractors (commercial conditions and prices)
  • Secure vendors risk assessment, and quality checks accordingly with PLG guidelines and policies
  • Perform end-to-end contract processing (drawing-up contract draft, ensuring approval and sign-off, and keeping Suppliers' contracts files updated)
  • Evaluate vendor performance (measure effectiveness, compliance, and ultimately, the business's return on investment (ROI))

Reporting Structure

The Procurement Specialist will report to the Procurement Manager and work closely with the Operations team, Customer Success engagement team, and various stakeholders in respect of the purchase categories they are respectively needing.

  • Bachelor degree
  • ERP systems
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Spend analysis
  • Strong communication/interpersonal skills
  • Analytical and synthetic skills
  • Knowledge of commercial law
  • 3 years experience in Procurement Department
  • Procurement processes, negotiation, change management
  • Previous experience in a multination company
  • Previous experience in Pharma Industry
