About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Home Group. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our customers who have complex mental health needs to develop their skills and live more independently in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist customers with practical daily living tasks to promote independence and help them achieve their goals and aspirations.
  • Help customers with daily living activities such as meal preparation, shopping, budgeting, and maintaining their tenancy.
  • Carry out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting, and regular reviews to ensure customers receive the best possible support.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and colleagues, providing emotional support and guidance when needed.

Requirements
  • Experience of caring for others, either in a professional or personal capacity.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • A willingness to learn and develop your skills and knowledge in areas such as mental health, support planning, and risk assessment.
