Children's Home Manager

The Registered Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring high-quality care and promoting the rights of young people as individuals. This role requires leadership and accountability, with a focus on delivering good outcomes for young people in accordance with relevant legislation and guidance.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver high-quality care in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations, and organisational policies and procedures.
- Lead a team of care workers, ensuring they have adequate training and working knowledge of health and safety guidelines.
- Keep accurate records and implement monitoring and evaluation systems within the organisation.
- Provide management information, including statistical data, as required.
- Develop and promote new techniques and approaches to childcare provision.
- Attend and chair meetings, both internally and externally, as required.
- Take on-call responsibilities and undertake sleep-in shifts, if necessary.
- Write concise and evaluative reports and oversee all written communication.
- Make decisions when appropriate and oversee admissions and discharges to the home.
- Enthusiasm for providing high-quality care and education.
- Experience of managing a team.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
- Familiarity with the needs of vulnerable individuals.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to maintain emotional resilience in challenging situations.
- Demonstrate respect for appropriate boundaries and authority.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Demonstrate an understanding and commitment to equal opportunities.
- 25 days per annum plus 8 statutory holidays.
- £2000 Bonus for an Outstanding Ofsted Report.
- Full Occupancy Bonus of £50 per month.
- On-Call payments of £25 weekday, £35 weekends.
- Petrol Allowance paid when using own car, with proof of business insurance.
- Pension in line with the organisational Pension Scheme and government guidance.
