Job Purpose

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing regional energy strategies for Wales. Your expertise will help us create a cleaner, greener, and more affordable energy system for the region.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the development of regional energy plans. You will work closely with stakeholders, including local government and energy distribution companies, to understand their needs and priorities. Your role will involve leading on specific aspects of energy planning, including developing and implementing strategies, engaging with stakeholders, and maintaining cross-team working.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement regional energy strategies for Wales
• Lead on specific aspects of energy planning, including stakeholder engagement and cross-team working
• Work closely with local government and energy distribution companies to understand their needs and priorities
• Represent the company at strategic level and deputise for the regional manager

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced energy professional with a strong understanding of energy systems and planning. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into easily understandable messaging for non-technical audiences. You will also have experience of working in a matrix style structure and be able to coordinate with other regional and central teams.
