Job Description:
We are seeking a Temporary Food Service Professional for Schools to join our team at Blue Arrow - Derby. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking nutritious meals for children in schools across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

The successful candidate will have previous experience as a chef or cook, preferably within the last 2 years. You should also have excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure. A Level 2 food hygiene certificate is ideal but not essential, as training is provided. An Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months is also required.

This is a temporary role with the possibility of leading to permanent positions. You will be working on a variety of shifts, including daytimes, occasional weekends, and flexible hours. The pay rate for this role is estimated to be around £16-£20 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook nutritious meals for children in schools
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
• Assist with ordering and storing food supplies
• Work effectively as part of a team to meet deadlines and targets

Requirements:
• Previous experience as a chef or cook, preferably within the last 2 years
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months
• Level 2 food hygiene certificate (ideal but not essential)
