About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Counsel to join our Pilgrim's Europe Shared Services Group legal team. As a senior member of the team, you will be the primary point of contact for day-to-day legal advice to our Europe Executive and Senior Leadership Team.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing Commercial Legal Advice: You will provide efficient, commercially focused legal advice for our business and its subsidiaries, working on a range of high-value and complex commercial agreements, procurement frameworks, and contracts.
  • Dispute Management and Regulatory Matters: You will assist in managing disputes and provide legal advice on regulatory matters, including competition law, property, and mergers and acquisitions work.
  • Collaboration and Communication: You will work closely with colleagues in the UK Group legal team to maximize synergies across the UK group and support the development of standardized processes and contracts where appropriate.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: You will advise on compliance in relation to marketing, advertising, and brand license terms, and evaluate and weigh multiple inputs/impacts of decisions/courses of action to identify proactive solutions to mitigate risks.

Requirements

  • UK Qualified Solicitor or Barrister
  • Circa 8 years post-qualification experience
  • High-calibre experience in a fast-paced, in-house legal team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage external professional advisers
  • Flexibility to respond to rapidly emerging challenges and risks
  • Proven ability to work independently and as an excellent team player
