Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Expertise: Provide high-quality technical advice, service, and maintenance to customers on Ford and other brand vehicles.
- Protocol Compliance: Work within relevant protocols, as dictated by legislation, the company, the manufacturer, and relevant suppliers.
- Team Collaboration: Assist senior and master technicians and undertake learning and development as prescribed.
- Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive records in a timely fashion and ensure colleagues do the same.
- Culture Development: Create and maintain a supportive culture for all colleagues in line with the company's principles.
- Continuous Learning: Commit to ongoing learning and development.
- Resource Efficiency: Deliver all services in the most resource-effective manner possible.
- Training and Development: Ensure the skills and knowledge of technicians are kept up to date by providing supervision, training, and guidance.
Requirements:
- Essential Qualifications: ATA accredited, plus fully qualified – City & Guilds or NVQ qualification.
- Administrative Skills: Demonstrate ability to manage processes, administration, and paperwork.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrate ability to support, coach, and counsel and develop colleagues and junior team members.
- Driving License: Full driving license held for a minimum of 6 months with fewer than 9 penalty points.
- Right to Work: Evidence of 'Right to work in the UK'
Desirable Qualifications:
- Advanced Skills: Already demonstrates considerable skill and recognition as a qualified Vehicle Service Repair Technician.
- Customer Understanding: Understands the needs of both customers and the company and demonstrates this in their work.
- Self-Management: Takes ownership in all aspects of their role, working without close supervision and demonstrating effective self-management.
- Resilience and Motivation: Demonstrates resilience, self-motivation, and a commitment to self-development, actively seeking positive feedback.
