Service Advisor

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team at Renault Truck Commercials. As a Service Advisor, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our customers, promoting the profitable sale of Workshop Services and Products, and ensuring all customers are dealt with in a professional and helpful manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- To be the first point of contact for customers, identifying their service parts requirements and assisting in preparing the necessary depot actions to meet those customer needs.
- To carry out the Service Department's invoicing and administration systems efficiently, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
- To greet customers in a courteous manner, interpret their requirements, and complete the necessary paperwork to enable work to be undertaken.
- To effectively monitor Work In Progress (WIP) reports to clear Workshop instructions as soon as possible, ensuring maximum efficiency and profitability.
- To liaise with the Workshop Foreman to maximize Workshop loading, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- To inform customers of completion times and payment methods, providing clear and concise information.
- To contact customers to inform them of any additional work required and issue accurate quotations to gain the necessary authority to complete the work.
- To ensure all customer complaints are courteously and efficiently handled and processed, providing a positive experience.
- To assist the Dealer Point Manager in invoice query resolution and debt recovery, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
- To have regard for any quality controls operated within the Service Department, maintaining high standards of quality and service.
- To assist in the management and arrangement of customer vehicle workshop bookings for inspections, servicing, and repairs, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
- To ensure customer satisfaction at all times through delivery of the company's 'customer commitments', providing a positive and memorable experience.
Requirements:
- Familiarization of booking times and relevant systems relating to the Service Department, including changes and ongoing developments.
- To understand relevant systems, including vehicle parts, and keep up to date with product development by reading relevant information and technical notes issued.
- Good communication skills, both written and oral, with excellent IT knowledge and confidence in using in-house systems.
- Upselling skills, customer focus, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
