Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting the clinical team to deliver high-quality care to our service users.
Main Responsibilities- Fulfilling the role of Associate/Co-Worker under the supervision of a qualified nurse/clinician.
- Assisting and assessing individuals with Activities of Daily Living, including personal hygiene, dietary intake, budget management, and so on, with due regard to the principles of recovery.
- Helping individuals to maintain independence from others by assessing and assisting in the development of daily living, domestic, communication, and social skills.
- Completed NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
- Experience of working within mental health services or similar care experience.
- Experience of working with behaviours that can be challenging.
- Experience within a mental health rehabilitative environment.
- Working knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 and changes with Mental Health Act 2007.
- Working knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Safeguarding procedures.
We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a range of benefits including professional development opportunities, flexible working arrangements, and a supportive team environment.
