Job Opportunity at St Elizabeth Hospice

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at St Elizabeth Hospice. As a Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting young adults living with progressive illness and complex healthcare needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assume the role of shift coordinator, leading the care of up to three young adults staying for the weekend at the hospice, ensuring their health and care needs are met.
  • Support young adults during their stay to achieve their goals and plan weekend activities, promoting independence, socialization, and fun experiences.
  • Supervise care assistants and delegate tasks appropriately to ensure seamless care delivery.

Requirements:

  • Experience in caring for young adults with complex healthcare needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with young adults, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings, to meet the needs of our service users.
