Lancashire County Council oversees the provision of catering services in over 500 educational institutions, serving more than 60,000 meals to students each day. We are looking for committed individuals to contribute to our mission.

Your role will involve working across the Lancashire area to ensure that students receive healthy and balanced meals.

Primary Duties:

  • Assist with the preparation, cooking, and serving of food and beverages
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all catering environments and equipment
  • Provide support during staff absences and sickness across various locations

Ideal Candidate Attributes:

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
  • Capable of performing under pressure and demonstrating initiative
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Previous experience in food service and preparation is advantageous
  • Must hold a valid driving license and have access to a vehicle

Working Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Term-time only
  • 16.25 hours per week with flexibility based on meal service requirements

The selected candidate will be required to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as part of the recruitment process.

A vehicle is necessary for this position, and business use insurance is required. Consideration will be given for candidates unable to drive due to a disability.

Lancashire County Council provides competitive remuneration and benefits.
