Job Title: Orion Group Business Improvement Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Improvement Lead to join our team at the Orion Group.


Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced professional to lead and deliver business improvement initiatives in our organisation. As a Business Improvement Lead, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in specialist subject areas of Lean. This includes acting as a Subject Matter Expert in Lean and providing suitable advice and guidance as required. You will also maintain and develop wide recognition as a technical authority.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Represent the Business Improvement team inside the Company, promoting and developing wide recognition as a technical authority.
  • Assist in identifying areas to simplify and select appropriate tools/techniques to use, working closely with stakeholders to implement changes and improve efficiency.
  • Deliver workshop facilitation of a wide variety of Lean tools and techniques resulting in quantifiable efficiency savings, sharing best practice and promoting success stories in relation to application of Lean techniques across the Company and beyond.
  • Collaborate Company-wide to build self-sustaining improvement via simplification support establishment and communication of the Lean philosophy, leadership culture and needed behaviour changes.
  • Build and sustain a Lean capability across the Company via leading in the development of the Company Lean Network's technical skills, delivering training, mentoring and coaching to enhance employee capabilities.
  • Undertake Intelligent Customer role in specialist area, ensuring effective delivery of solutions that meet customer needs.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should have excellent knowledge of Lean principles and methodologies, with experience of implementing these in a large-scale organisational setting. A strong analytical mind, excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are essential.
