We are seeking a highly skilled High Performance Testing Specialist to join our team at Arrow McLaren IndyCar. As a key member of our technical operations group, you will be responsible for the execution of Rigs and component testing within our F1 Production & Build function.

About the Role:

">

The successful candidate will lead or assist in the characterization and sign-off of brake system components, suspension parts, and control systems. Additionally, they will be responsible for calibration of component and assembly strain gauges, routine service and testing of metallic and composite car components, type approval of new and first-off components, and development testing on present and future concepts and materials.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Characterisation and sign-off of brake system components
  • Characterisation and sign-off of suspension parts and control systems
  • Calibration of component and, assembly strain gauges
  • Routine service, and testing of metallic and composite car components
  • Type approval of new and first off components
  • Development testing on present and future concepts and materials.
  • Install/maintain relevant test instrumentation hardware and ensure reliable function
  • Monitor, capture, post process and present test data to engineers, databases and lifing software suites
  • Pro-active in initialising preparations of software/hardware files for future tests.
  • Compile run reports
  • Assist with installation of test assemblies and components
  • Assist with both on and off-site homologation tests, dynos and rigs

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need recent experience of working within a highly technical vehicle technology testing environment in Formula 1 and/or premium automotive racing car series. Experience in the use, set up, and operation of hydraulic/servo mechanical actuators and test rigs is also essential.

What We Offer:

We offer a comprehensive salary package of around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including private healthcare, car schemes, life insurance, and generous pension contributions. The MTC is connected to Woking mainline station via regular shuttle buses, from which London Waterloo is a 30-minute train ride.
