Job Overview

This role will involve leading or assisting in the execution of Rigs and component testing within our F1 Production & Build function. You'll be working on various cross-departmental disciplines, including component sign-off, fatigue and test procedures, structural development, and suspension system testing, as well as on and off-site type approval and homologation activities, dyno and rig testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Characterisation and sign-off of brake system components.
  • Calibration of component and assembly strain gauges.
  • Routine service and testing of metallic and composite car components.
  • Development testing on present and future concepts and materials.
  • Monitor, capture, post-process, and present test data to engineers, databases, and lifing software suites.
  • Proactive in initialising preparations of software/hardware files for future tests.
  • Assist with installation of test assemblies and components.
Requirements

We're looking for an individual with recent experience of working within a highly technical vehicle technology testing environment in Formula 1 and/or premium automotive racing car series. You should have experience in the use, set up, and operation of hydraulic/servo mechanical actuators and test rigs. Previous experience with Zwick/Cats3 or similar servo mechanical and servo hydraulic control systems is also required.

A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products is essential, as well as the ability to display a basic understanding of materials/component fatigue testing. Previous experience in sign-off testing conforming to motor sports governing bodies' sporting regulations is also desirable.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £50,000-£60,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits, including private healthcare, car schemes, life insurance, and generous pension contributions.
