About the School

Our school caters for a wide range of students with varying needs, including Complex and Multiple Learning Needs (CMLN), moderate or severe learning difficulties, social, emotional mental health needs (SEMH) or autism. We pride ourselves on creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that enables all students to thrive.

Your Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing individualized support to students, helping them to access the curriculum and overcome any challenges they may face. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop effective strategies for supporting students with complex needs.

Requirements

  • Ability to relate well to children and adults and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to deal effectively with students presenting challenging behavior using de-escalation techniques as appropriate.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
  • Knowledge and experience of behavior management and restorative strategies.
  • Experienced and comfortable with personal care.
  • A driving licence is desirable for this role.
