Electrical Design Engineer - Apprentice

Waterman Aspen is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer - Apprentice to join our team. As a key member of our defence team, you will be responsible for designing electrical building services, including fire detection and alarm systems, industrial lighting, and emergency lighting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical building services, including fire detection and alarm systems, industrial lighting, and emergency lighting.
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure all requirements are met throughout the design process.
  • Manage deliverables through design processes and technical governance procedures to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks throughout the design and implementation process.
Requirements:
  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Chartered Membership of an appropriate engineering institution.
  • Prior experience working within a nuclear or highly regulated industry, understanding site licence and authorisation conditions.
  • Familiarity with the specific infrastructure and operational requirements of naval or military facilities.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools, particularly in the context of large-scale infrastructure projects.
