Electrical Design Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in the North East and North Yorkshire area. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing electrical systems for various projects, from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct design calculations and create schematics using AutoCAD LT and Revit.
  • Design electrical systems, including low voltage distribution, artificial lighting, and emergency lighting.
  • Produce survey reports, technical reports, and specifications documentation.
  • Engage with DNOs for applications for connections (import and export).
  • Participate in QA reviews.
Requirements:
  • Engineering degree (BEng/MEng) in Electrical Engineering or Building Services.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in the Electrical engineering/Energy industry.
  • Good IT skills, particularly MS Office (Excel and Word).
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience of engineering/energy analysis and design of electrical power distribution.
  • Ability to interpret design information, such as PIDs/schematics and knowledge of system design.
  • Understanding of renewable and low carbon technology, such as GSHP, ASHP, along with Solar PV/Battery storage and CHP/grid parallel connections.
