The Hywel Dda University Health Board is seeking a highly skilled Podiatry Specialist to join their team in delivering exceptional care to patients with complex foot cases. Job Summary

This role requires the postgraduate experienced candidate to possess extensive knowledge of rotational competencies programs and have experience in managing complex caseloads, including recognition of peripheral vascular disease and clinical infections. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate autonomous practice, inter-professional team working, and direct involvement with carers and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • To manage a caseload of patients with complex foot conditions, including those with rheumatoid and diabetic feet.
  • To develop and maintain knowledge of specialist footwear and ankle/foot orthosis.
  • To ensure effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • To contribute to the development of service guidelines and protocols, ensuring compliance with clinical governance standards.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate qualification in podiatry or a related field.
  • Experience of working in a similar role, preferably in a hospital or community setting.
  • Knowledge of local anaesthesia techniques and proficiency in applying them.
  • Registration with the Health Professions Council (HPC).
Salary and Benefits
