We are seeking an experienced Clinical Lead Physiotherapist to join our team and provide clinical leadership, specialist expertise, and supervision to junior physiotherapists, therapy support workers, students, and generic rehabilitation assistants. About the Role:

  • This Band 7 position involves taking a lead in community Stroke care and supporting the provision of wider Neurological Physiotherapy in the community setting.
  • You will work closely with other Clinical Lead Physiotherapists to further develop stroke services and wider therapy services within the county.
  • You will need to be highly specialised in stroke and neuro-rehabilitation handling.
  • As a leader, you will have strong organisational and team management skills, as well as the ability to network with acute and community colleagues, local MDTs, patients, and their families.
  • You will have a commitment to service development by developing the evidence base for evaluation through audit, clinical effectiveness, and research activity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a complex caseload using advanced clinical reasoning processes.
  • Working autonomously as a highly skilled practitioner.
  • Providing clinical leadership, specialist expertise, and supervision to junior physiotherapists, therapy support workers, students, and generic rehabilitation assistants.
  • Leading clinical networks and practice groups.
  • Assisting in leading service developments.
  • Staff development and performance management.

Requirements:

  • Degree or recognised equivalent in Physiotherapy.
  • Current professional registration with HCPC.
  • Significant post-graduate experience in specialist field.
  • Experience working in multi-agency teams within specialist area.
  • Therapeutic handling and risk assessments.
  • Leadership and management qualifications.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Location: Various sites across Hywel Dda University Health Board.
