School Principal Leadership Role

Powys County Council is seeking a visionary and results-driven principal to join our team as a School Principal Leadership Role. This is a full-time, permanent position, commencing 1st September 2025.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in education, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate staff and pupils to achieve their best. They will also have high expectations of both pupils and staff, and be able to provide effective financial management.
The ideal candidate will have a track record of success in leading a school, be innovative in their approach to education, and be committed to developing the school's position as one of the leading primary schools in Powys and the borders.
The salary for this position is estimated to be around £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a beautiful rural community, with a lovely school located in Bannau Brycheiniog, and contribute to the development of a creative and innovative school community.
Leadership Responsibilities:
- Lead the school to achieve high standards of academic achievement
- Develop and implement a strategic plan for the school
- Provide effective leadership and management of the school
