Job Description:
Powys County Council is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Academic Excellence to lead our popular and successful primary school. This is a full-time, permanent position, commencing 1st September 2025.

We are looking for an individual with proven leadership skills who can motivate staff and pupils to reach their full potential. The successful candidate will have excellent teaching skills, high expectations of both pupils and staff, and be able to provide effective financial management.

The ideal candidate will have a track record in sustaining high learner outcomes, be innovative in their approach to education, and be committed to developing the school's position as one of the leading primary schools in Powys and the borders.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly motivated team of excellent teachers, supported by dedicated teaching assistants, and work in a beautiful rural community with a lovely school located in Bannau Brycheiniog.
