About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Refuge Worker to join our team at Solace Women's Aid. As a key member of our staff, you will provide critical support and guidance to women and children who have experienced domestic abuse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional and practical support to survivors of domestic abuse in a refuge setting
  • Conduct risk and needs assessments, develop support plans, and carry out key work with women survivors
  • Work collaboratively with other agencies to ensure comprehensive support for survivors
  • Develop and deliver workshops and training programs to support survivors
  • Manage a caseload of survivors, prioritizing their needs and providing timely interventions
Requirements
  • Minimum of two years' experience working with survivors of domestic abuse
  • Deep understanding of the needs of women and children from diverse backgrounds
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, policies, and procedures related to domestic abuse
