The RoleAs a Care Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual who enjoys participating in various community activities. You will be responsible for accompanying and supporting this woman in her daily life, including engaging in arts and crafts, watching movies, and singing nursery rhymes.
You will also assist with developing new skills and hobbies, encouraging her interests, and fostering independence. Additionally, you will provide day-to-day assistance with tasks as needed, ensuring her well-being and safety during outings and home activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Accompany and support the individual in participating in community activities such as swimming, bowling, visiting local attractions, and trampolining.
- Engage in arts and crafts, watching movies, listening to music on the iPad, singing nursery rhymes, and other fun activities at home.
- Assist with developing new skills and hobbies, encouraging her interests, and fostering independence.
- Provide day-to-day assistance with tasks as needed, ensuring her well-being and safety during outings and home activities.
- Facilitate social interactions and help build meaningful relationships within the community.
We are seeking individuals who are enthusiastic, compassionate, and dedicated to making a positive impact. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:
- A vibrant personality with a genuine love for engaging in a variety of activities.
- Ability to interact effectively with the person we support and her family.
- A caring nature with the ability to provide patient and understanding support.
- Consistent and dependable, with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to adapt to the individual's schedule and interests.
The salary for this position is £12.83 per hour, offering 21 hours per week. Our comprehensive benefits package includes 30 days annual leave pro rata, bike-to-work scheme, discounts on meals, shopping, entertainment, gym membership, and mobile phone tariffs.
Other RequirementsAn enhanced DBS disclosure will be required for this role, and the cost of which will be incurred by Dimensions.
