Independent Visitor Coordinator

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Independent Visitor Coordinator to join our team at VoiceAbility. As an Independent Visitor Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the Connections Team Leader and volunteers in delivering an efficient and effective project that ensures a consistently high standard is maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, support, match, and coordinate volunteers (Independent Visitors) to take into account the needs of the children and young people.
- Provide supervisions, debriefs, and co-reflection groups, guidance, and training as required to support our volunteers.
- Record client/volunteer details and activities that demonstrate outcomes and the meeting of contractual obligations.
- Facilitate and supervise the initial meetings between the child or young person and the selected Independent Visitor.
Requirements
- Experience of working/volunteering with children and young people and in a role that requires outstanding communication skills to achieve excellent results.
- Competence in the use of social media and experience of managing staff or volunteers previously.
- Desirable experience of working in the charity/third sector with volunteers previously.
