Mental Health Nurse Leader in Community Care

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse to join our team at North East London NHS Foundation Trust.
Job SummaryThis is an exciting opportunity to work as a key member of our Redbridge Home Treatment Team / Crisis Care Team, providing high-quality care and support to adults with acute mental health problems.
Key Responsibilities:- To conduct thorough assessments and develop effective care plans that address the psychological, emotional, social, and treatment needs of service users.
- To facilitate collaboration and teamwork among multidisciplinary staff, promoting a culture of mutual respect and open communication.
- To work closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver seamless and integrated care services.
- To identify and respond to diversity and equality issues that may impact service users' experiences.
- To act as a gatekeeper, ensuring timely access to mental health services and facilitating efficient discharges from hospital settings.
- To participate in risk management and crisis intervention efforts, working closely with colleagues to ensure a safe and supportive environment for service users.
- To coordinate shift responsibilities, allocate tasks, and manage emergencies within the team.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification and a degree in a relevant field.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and commitment to ongoing learning.
- Demonstrated experience in staff supervision, appraisal, and mentoring.
- Strong knowledge of mental health legislation, including the 1983 Mental Health Act and related codes of practice.
