Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Kent Hospital in Warwick, RI. As a member of our Post Surgical Unit, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the nursing staff.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various patient care activities, including assisting with personal hygiene, maintaining accurate medical records, and transcribing physician orders. You will work closely with our Registered Nurses to ensure the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide general patient care, assist with daily living activities, and perform routine tasks as directed by the RN.
  • Initiate, assemble, and maintain accurate functional charts for all patients in the unit. Transcribe written physician orders and complete necessary forms, requisitions, and communications.
  • Maintain patient's medical records in an orderly manner, documenting all care provided and significant information.
  • Observe assigned patients and report any care problems, changes in patient condition, or unexpected occurrences to the RN/Team Leader.
Requirements:

Vocational/technical training and more than six months job-related experience or equivalent is required. Certified Nursing Assistant Certification, basic computer skills, and medical terminology are also essential.

Estimated Salary Range:

$45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on experience.
