Health Care Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team at Ashworth Street Surgery. As a Health Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our general practice team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in patient care and practice-related duties under the direct supervision of GPs and Practice Nurses.
- Support the practice team in providing high-quality primary care services to patients.
- Attend updates and refresher courses to maintain clinical skills and knowledge.
- Undertake specific clinical activities for named patients, including phlebotomy, blood pressure checks, ECGs, and urinalysis.
- Assist with the collation of data on patient needs and health-related issues.
- Participate in maintaining accurate records and supporting the practice team in providing excellent patient care.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- GCSE Grade A to C in English and Maths.
- Qualified to NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care.
- Qualified in Phlebotomy.
- 2 years of general practice experience.
- Excellent team player and communication skills.
- Good organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
