About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Satellite Ground Systems Specialist to join our team at Amazon Kuiper Services Europe SARL, UK Branch - Q18. As a key member of our Ground Systems team, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and commissioning high-performance ground gateways for our Kuiper satellite constellation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Ground Terminal Installations: You will lead teams performing onsite ground terminal installations and commissioning at hundreds of sites globally.
  • Deliver Operational Sites: You will deliver operational sites to the Kuiper Operations Team, including physical, network, RF, calibration, and site acceptance.
  • Site Troubleshooting and Maintenance: You will support site troubleshooting and maintenance to provide an unparalleled customer experience.
  • Partner Engagement: You will engage with industry-leading partners to execute our installation strategy.
  • Process Development: You will develop installation processes, mechanisms, and standard operating procedures supporting terminal installation at scale.
  • System Test and Verification: You will design system test and verification processes and document in at-scale mechanisms.
  • Tactical Interactions: You will manage tactical interactions with partners to ensure milestones, deliverables, and technical artifacts are technically compliant with project objectives and programmatic requirements.
  • Team Leadership: You will work with stakeholder teams to deliver terminals in sync with ground implementation goals.
  • Training and Communication: You will develop team training plans and materials and communicate regularly with senior management on status, risks, and change control.
About the Team

The Ground Systems team is responsible for the architecture, design, build, and installation of Kuiper's Ground and TT&C Gateways. Our Ground Gateways enable high data rate, low latency communications between Kuiper points of presence and our Low Earth Orbit Satellite constellation.

We work closely with Ground Infrastructure Services, Networks, Regulatory, Payload Test, and RF Systems teams to ensure Kuiper provides a seamless customer experience.

Requirements
  • Experience in Satellite Communications Ground Systems and Operations: You will have experience working in satellite communications ground systems and operations.
  • Network Integration Experience: You will have network integration experience in troubleshooting and onsite support.
  • Technical Discipline or Equivalent Experience: You will have a Bachelor's degree with a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
