About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer to join our team at Nordomatic. As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that our Building Management Systems (BEMS) projects are commissioned, set to work, and handed over to our clients in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Commissioning:
    Commission, set to work, and hand over BEMS projects of various sizes and types, ensuring that they operate efficiently, effectively, reliably, and safely, and are compliant with all specifications and design.
  2. Client Relationships:
    Maintain frequent contact with clients to build and maintain relationships at all levels, and identify opportunities for additional services with existing customers.
  3. Engineering and Technical:
    Responsibility for handing over a fully operational system, for acceptance by the customer, and ensuring that all operation and maintenance manuals, commissioning schedules, handover, and witnessing documents are accurate and up to date.
  4. Commercial and Business Development:
    Assist with detailed post-completion review of projects, and provide regular reporting of commissioning progress to the project team.

  1. Reporting: Punctuality and quality of reports, paperwork, and information.
  2. Communication: Appropriate and timely telephone and email communication, internally and externally.
  3. Timekeeping and Attendance: Exceptional timekeeping and good sickness record.
  4. Flexibility: Respond to urgent working requirements at short notice.
  5. Customer Satisfaction: Client perception to quality and productivity, and internal customer relationships.
  6. Engineering: Working effectively to deliver high-quality work within planned timescales.

Experience and Qualifications Required:

  1. Health and Safety awareness, particularly with construction sites.
  2. Good general BEMS knowledge and relevant industry experience.
  3. The ability to read mechanical and electrical installation drawings, MCC schematic wiring diagrams, and technical documents.
  4. An in-depth knowledge of general building services plant and systems.
  5. Fluent with Trend (or equivalent systems), able to write and commission controller software and graphics.
  6. Familiarity with standard comms protocols, e.g., BACnet, Modbus, LON, and associated interfaces and gateways, such as SIPS, TONN, etc.
