Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Learning and Skills Manager to join our team at the Ministry of Justice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective learning and skills programs for offenders, with the goal of reducing reoffending and improving employment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement learning and skills programs for offenders, including education, vocational training, and employability skills
  • Work with offenders to identify their learning and skills needs and develop individual learning plans
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of learning and skills programs
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of learning and skills programs and make recommendations for improvement
  • Provide guidance and support to offenders to help them achieve their learning and skills goals
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications in education, training, or a related field
  • Experience in developing and implementing learning and skills programs for offenders
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with offenders, staff, and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of the Ministry of Justice's policies and procedures
Working Arrangements

This is a full-time position, working 37 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the service.
